Neat idea from Sinister. A lot of the troops most likely don't even want to be over there. Many people join the army so that they can get a good education on the governments dime. The only trade off, is you have to serve your time; it just so happens that at this time, you can actually get deployed. 'motion', you're focusing on one aspect of what a soldier does. You've skipped humanitarian work, assisting in natural disasters, as well as other duties. Police officers are trained to shoot to kill. Sometimes, they do. By your logic, we should also rid ourselves of their services. But really, anyone who believes it's a war on terrorism is quite misled. War on Terror = mad dash for oil. There will always be terrorism, whether it be domestic or foreign. Fighting an idea is next to impossible. It's like saying "lets have a war on bitterness".
